Schedule of Activities Bangus Festival 2011 [Dagupan City]

Bangus Festival 2011 Philippines logo

It’s been a long time since I was not able to celebrate Bangus Festival in my province. As a tribute to our province, I would like to help the city government of Dagupan in promoting our very own festival and take part on this month long celebration even though I am busy working here in Metro Manila. The city is known worldwide as the best producers of most tastiest Bangus (Milkfish) since Fisheries is one of the main source of income of the townsmen aside from farming and agri-business. In 2003, this festival was recognized by the Guinness Book of World Records as the longest Barbeque of the World named “Kalutan Ed Dagupan” a local dialect of Pangasinense. Kalutan means grill or to grill. Though I wasn’t able to join most of the activities unlike before I can still feel the happiness and joy of joining this festival and one way of enjoying summer vacation.

As of March 23, here’s the updated Bangus Festival 2011  Schedule of Activities. Special thanks to What’s Up Dagupan for the information!

The month long celebration was kicked off  March 30-31, 2011 at SM City Rosales, then followed by an activity ADOPT-A-PARK CLEAN UP DRIVE hosted by DZRD 981 SONSHINE RADIO AND SPM last April 2.
